Nelson SLT Series provide freeze protection for roofs, gutters and downspouts. These self-regulating cables feature a durable, water-resistant outer jacket along with two inner jackets for additional protection against unintended physical damage. The parallel-resistance design automatically varies heat output with changes in the ambient temperature to save energy while maintaining a consistent temperature.
SLT 1 cables are for use with 120 Vac while SLT 2 cables are designed for 240 Vac applications. Both are rated at 11 watts per foot in ice, and provide effective protection down to -37°C/-5°F. A full line of installation accessories is available, including watertight connection and termination kits. SLT cables are UL Listed and CSA Certified for ordinary locations.
