The CM-2201 and CM-2202 are designed for stand-alone use and can also be networked with other CM units for centralized monitoring and control. In addition to temperature control and heater cable monitoring, the CM-2201 and CM-2202 can also provide alarms for high or low temperature conditions, high or low voltage and current, ground fault leakage, sensor failures and communications failures. An auto-test cycle can be used to switch the heating system on in a selectable interval from 1 to 24 hours to check for developing fault conditions, and separate ground fault alarm and trip settings provide warning of developing faults prior to breaking the circuit. designed for stand-alone use and can also be networked with other CM units for centralized monitoring and control. The LCD display provides prompts for set point entry and operation, and the system can be programmed for either on/off or proportional control of the heating cable. An optional second RTD can be programmed in a variety of ways to provide control capabilities—for example, backup and high-temperature cutout. Up to 32 systems throughout a facility can be connected to a PC to provide centralized monitoring and control.

Control power is supplied by the heating cable voltage. The system operates in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C/-40°F to 50°C/122°F. A NEMA 4X molded fiberglass polyester enclosure can be used for either wall or rack mounting, and all standard models are cCSAus Certified for use in ordinary, Division 2 and Zone 2 hazardous locations.
