Appleton’s explosionproof control stations and switches are certified for use in NEC and CEC governed locations. They are designed to meet the demanding needs of hazardous and industrial environments. Aluminum or malleable iron housings offer protection from corr​osive, moisture-filled and flammable atmospheres. Compact designs allow them to be mounted nearly anywhere, but still offer room for wiring and custom push button, pilot light and switch configurations. Appleton’s factory sealed control stations expedite installation by eliminating the need to add sealing fittings and compounds at each conduit entrance. 

O-Z/Gedney Class 530 inertia switches can be used as a shut down switch that operates upon sharp impact, disconnects oil well pump engine or motor upon impact occurring from sucker rod breakage.
O-Z/Gedney Class 531 vibration switches are used as shut down switches that operate in response to excessive vibration, protects rotating machinery such as motors, generators, engines, pumps and fans from damage due to abnormal vibration.
Appleton’s Contender series factory sealed control stations and pilot lights are for use in classified areas where ignitable vapors, gases or highly combustible dusts are present, suitable for locations where corrosive elements are present.
Appleton’s Contender series factory sealed front operated tumbler switches are designed to prevent arcing of enclosed switches in ignitable atmospheres during on-off switching of lighting and light power loads.
Appleton’s Division 2 Contender factory sealed control stations and pilot lights are suitable for use in highly corrosive areas, washdown areas and other damp or wet areas
Appleton’s ECS Series CSA Certified control stations are used in conjunction with contactors and magnetic starters to provide circuit selection and control for motors. Pilot lights provide visual confirmation for electrical functions.
Appleton’s ECS Series configurable control stations are for use in classified areas. They are designed to accommodate up to 16 push buttons, selector switches and pilot lights.
Appleton’s ECS Series CSA Certified timer control stations provide timed operation of electrical circuits for lighting, small pumps, heat tracing, etc.
Appleton’s EFD, EFDB and EDS Series factory sealed control stations and pilot lights are suitable for use in settings where flammable vapors, gases or highly combustible dusts may be present.

Appleton
