Nelson Heat Trace provides Renegade software for the design of pipe and tank heating systems.
- Pipe and Tank Heating Combined. Pipe Heating Designs and Tank Heating Designs are combined into a single application called “Heat Trace Designer”. You can enter your pipes AND tanks into a single Renegade project. The Renegade software even allows you to calculate heat up and cool down applications for both pipe and tank applications.
- Full Multi-user Access Support. In “network” installations, Renegade project files can now be accessed by more than one user simultaneously. Also, on individual workstations (whether connected to a network or not), multiple Renegade applications can be open at the same time. Refer to the “Network Installations” section below for tips on setting up Renegade for operation on a network.
- Support for 1996 NEC Zone Classification System. This release fully supports the IEC based Zone classification methods for Class I hazardous areas as detailed in the 1996 NEC.
- Report Layouts. Most reports have been redesigned using a landscape orientation. This allows more detailed information to be presented on each report. Also, during report preview, you can choose to print only the page you are currently viewing.
- Search for Text. You can now search for any text string to help locate the desired record.
- Import/Export Project Data. Using the Project Manager application, you can now import/export your Renegade data from/to dBase III files. This enables you to transfer Renegade data between other applications such as spreadsheets or estimating software.
- Compare Two Versions of a Project. Using the Project Manager application, you can now compare two different project files for design differences. This is especially helpful in documenting design changes between different versions of your project (i.e. "quote" and "as built" versions).
- Create ZIP Compatible Archives. Using the Project Manager application, you can now create a PKZIP(tm) 2.04 compatible archive file containing the various files which make up a Renegade project.
