Digital SLP Cell Disruptor 

Cell disruption, homogenization, and emulsification as induced by the Sonifier cell disruptor is the result of cavitation, created by ultrasonic vibrations. The converter transmits vibration through the horn and into the sample to be processed through this cavitation. The ultrasonic vibrations transmited through the horn can also be applied directly or indirectly to samples, using a variety of specifically designed horns, tips, chambers, or cup horns.

The SLPt consists of a power supply, a converter, and a 1/8" microtip. The power supply/converter changes standard electrical power to high frequency mechanical energy, which is then applied to the mircrotip, where it is further amplified for use (often with specialized accessories).

Like traditional cell disruptors the SLPt uses time as a major process variable. Continuous and pulsed modes are availabe as well as management or total experiment time.

This unit includes the generator/power supply, converter, 1/8" microtip, all interconnects, and an I/O port for external control. The SLP unit comes complete and ready to run.
