Unicode® 2 Series polyamide control stations meet Increased Safety standards for use in IEC governed hazardous areas. They are not recognized for use hazardous areas governed by NEC/CEC. To achieve the Increased Safety rating, these control stations feature a terminal design that prevents wires from becoming loose under conditions of heavy vibration or shock. This method of protection is recognized in IEC governed areas, allowing use of these nonmetallic control stations in Zone 1 hazardous areas.
