New DYNEO permanent magnet synchronous solutions
Leroy-Somer’s permanent magnet synchronous motors are designed to be controlled by a drive. Their efficiency is not only better than that of IE2 asynchronous solutions with equivalent power, but is also much more stable when the speed varies. This difference in efficiency is as much as 12 to 15 percent at half-speed.
Thanks to this improvement in efficiency, the specific output power can be increased or the motor dimensions reduced.
Depending on the power rating and speed, the frame size is reduced by 1 to 3 sizes compared to a conventional asynchronous solution. For example, a 230 kW AC motor at 4500 min-1 has a frame size of 315 mm. The LSRPM motor with the same characteristics has a frame size of 250 mm.
Leroy Somer standard AC series
Leroy Somer CPLS, LS, LSMV and FLS motors offer a standard series of AC motors that cover the power range from 0.55kW to 750kW. The rugged and flexible design means that the motors can be applied in virtually any application.

Flexible power
Leroy Somer motors are available with a wide range of choices to ensure the motor matches your application needs. Various feedback devices, insulated bearings, safety brake and thermal protection methods are available. FLS motors can be specified with CORROBLOC for an anti-corrosion finish that enables the motors to be used in humid, corrosive or harsh environments.
